Emily has been with UNO International Admissions since 2007. She earned her bachelor's degree in International Studies from UNO, specializing in global business management. She has studied language and culture in Ireland, Russia, Japan, and Germany. She's lived with host families overseas, and her own family has hosted international students here in Nebraska. As a member of the International Studies Honors Society, Emily helped plan UNO's Model United Nations to teach local high school students about international relations and diplomacy. Since secondary school she has enjoyed playing flute in her church's musical group. E-mail Emily: emaloley@unomaha.edu

Jessica has worked in UNO's International Admissions office since 2009. While an undergraduate student, she cared for children in several daycare centers and worked in UNO's International Studies & Programs as an office assistant. She became interested in intercultural exchange as a UNO student herself, when she majored in International Studies with a focus in East Asia cultures. She lived in Japan for three years and spent summers in Iceland. When she's not enjoying the great outdoors in a kayak or next to a campfire, she likes watching anime or movies in Japanese and Korean, with the help of subtitles. Amanda joined the International Admissions team in the summer of 2012. A graduate of UNO's International Studies bachelor's degree program, she studied abroad in Japan at Shizuoka University, one of UNO's sister institutions. Through her experience in Japan, she learned about Japanese language and culture and she learned something new about herself -- that she wanted to make international studies the focus of her academic career. Upon her return to UNO, she assisted visiting Japanese students during their study abroad experiences in Omaha. Now as an enrollment specialist, she enjoys working with students from all over the world every day. E-mail Amanda: aaabbott@unomaha.edu
