GOLIATH AT BETHSAIDA
Not only was King David was at Bethsaida, but apparently there was also a Philistine presence at the capital of the Geshurite Kingdom. Philistine shards were discovered by Steve Reynolds at the sounding in Chamber 4 (1st chamber on the right walking in thru the city gate). In the picture you can see published Philistine pottery from the Philistine city of Ashdod compared with the shards discovered at Bethsaida. This discovery is important because it establishes the date of Stratum 6 to the period of King David.
