Exploring Omaha

You'll have plenty of time outside of training hours to explore Omaha and experience U.S. culture first-hand.

Check out this Overview of Greater Omaha in Portuguese from the local Chamber of Commerce.

Nebraska Neighbors

NEBRASKA NEIGHBORS

During your stay, the group will travel to Red Cloud, a community of about 1,000 people in south-central Nebraska. Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist Willa Cather grew up in Red Cloud, and the Willa Cather Foundation has preserved many of the sites that inspired her work. Your visit will bring her works to life and provide useful materials and insights for teaching English in Brazil.

On the way, we will also visit the State Capitol in Lincoln and meet some of the state's elected leaders, and we'll visit the Stuhr Museum outside of Grand Island. The rural trip will give you a well rounded understanding of U.S. history, government, and culture.
