A New Campus & New Building
In the fall of 1936, the Municipal University of Omaha purchased land for a new campus in what was then west Omaha. The 20 acre parcel of land was located on West Dodge Street and on the north side of Elmwood Park. Construction on the Georgian-style building (now Arts & Sciences Hall) was begun in 1937 and the building was dedicated in November, 1938.
