Arthur Paul Afghanistan Collection

The UNOmaha Library maintains the Arthur Paul Afghanistan Collection which became part of the Library’s Special Collections in the fall of 1974 when Arthur Paul’s private collection of over one thousand items was donated to the Library. Many consider it the finest collection of Afghan primary and secondary materials outside of Afghanistan. At present, there are over 12,000 holdings in various languages, including Dari (Afghan Persian), Pashto, and English, among others.
