Field Office:

The UNO Field Office in Kabul, Afghanistan has a small staff which can be readily incorporated into projects intended for reconstruction of Afghan education at the present or in the future. The Office will provide start-up savings, in both time and money, personnel experience, and capabilities.

UNO/CAS efforts are directed towards:
Continuing work in teacher training in the areas of elementary and seconday education, gender equity education, adult literacy, mother-child health education, and elementary school administration.
Placing special emphasis on expanded drug awareness education in all areas of the curriculum for primary and secondary education for Afghans.
Providing job-specific, short-duration vocational education training in reconstruction-related trades that are in demand, as well as construction and office skills training which will be needed by the national and provincial governments, international agencies, and NGO's involved in the reconstruction of Afghanistan.
