Ms. Ludwig has 50 years of professional experience in English as a Second Language programs, and she has overseen ILUNO Intensive English since 1992. Before that, she taught English and German at UNO, taught English to German employees of IBM, and taught German to U.S. Army troops in Germany. She also taught art classes at Omaha's Joslyn Art Museum and in the local public schools. With UNO, she has helped design English programs in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, and she has coordinated exchange programs with universities in Austria, Korea, Iraq, and Russia. Since 1982, she has served as the secretary of UNO's annual Global Studies Conference, which brings students, academics, and practitioners from around the world to discuss challenges in developing countries. Throughout all these cultural exchanges, Ms. Ludwig has tried to incorporate artistic projects as a way to transcend language barriers. She holds bachelor's degrees in German and History with minors in English and Education. She holds a master's degree in Germanic Languages and Literatures.
