Welcome! UNO International Studies and Programs (IS&P) is very excited on your decision to spend a semester or academic year in Omaha! Studying abroad promises to be an exciting opportunity for you to experience American academic and student life, and UNO's diverse network of international linkages makes studying abroad in Omaha affordable. Many foreign universities have bilateral exchange agreements with UNO, facilitating the easy exchange of students among campuses. UNO also participates in the MAUI-Utrecht Network, welcoming students from across Europe.
If you have been nominated from an institution below, you may eligible for an exchange tuition waiver award. Please consult with your home institution's international office for more information.

| 2.Some of UNO's exchange partners have application fee waivers. Please inquire with your institution to determine if you must pay the $45.00 application fee. If so, you may pay the application fee with a credit card while completing an Online Undergraduate Application, or you may Download a Credit Card Authorization Form . |
| 3.Your university must provide a letter of nomination indicating the purpose and duration of your studies at UNO. |
| 4..Please provide proof of English language proficiency. Most exchange students submit TOEFL or IELTS scores, but UNO has several exchange agreements with partner universities regarding English testing. Please consult with your exchange office at your home institution for additional information |
5.Please submit a copy of your university transcripts. Do not forget to provide an English translation. Your UNO advisor will use the transcripts to assist in class registration. |
| 6.Please provide a list of courseswhich you plan on taking during your first semester at UNO. It is recommended that exchange students choose 4 courses and 2 back up courses per semester. | 7. Your sending institution should send a letter of nomination indicating that you will participate in the exchange agreement. The letter should clearly indicate during which semester(s) you will study. |
| 8.All students need to send proof that they can support themselves during their stay at UNO. Although tuition is waived for exchange students, you will still be responsible for paying for living expenses and campus fees. You will need to provide an official bank document and a UNO Financial Affidavit. Exchange students at the University of Nebraska at Omaha take advantage of the many academic, cultural, and social opportunities at UNO. Most students choose to live in on-campus housing with convenient access to local shopping, parks, and recreation opportunities.
After UNO International Admissions has received the required materials, UNO will mail both your admission packet and DS-2019. Please complete the housing and arrival forms and return them as soon as possible. Your advisor will try to help you enroll in courses prior to your arrival. Sometimes, it is necessary to complete course registration at UNO during Orientation Week.
