Ed Quinn

Ed Quinn

Manager, International Professional Development

Ed Quinn has managed IPD and served as the participants' professional development advisor since 2010. He has more than 20 years of experience in international business development, logistics, import-export management, and international marketing and sales. He also has deep experience with customs regulations, governmental compliance, international finance, contract negotiations, and intercultural relations and communications. He has applied his broad skill set in diverse industries, including biotechnology, global logistics, travel services, and architecture.

Mr. Quinn holds a bachelor's degree in International Studies with a concentration in business management from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He has also completed certificate programs in the study of Japanese language, business, and culture at Nanzan University and Shizuoka University in Japan, and a certificate program in international marketing from California State University.

He currently serves on the board of the U.S. Department of Commerce District Export Council, and he represents Nebraska's private business sector as a director for the Midwest-U.S. Japan Association. He also served for 15 years on the Midwest International Trade Association (MITA) board, including a two-year term as president.

Throughout his career, Mr. Quinn has learned to focus on customer service and to understand the unique needs of customers from all over the world - lessons he now imparts to IPD participants every day.
